WHEAT Institute staff are excited to team up with your community to offer local community members training in art therapy and expressive arts in colleges, programs and community-based projects across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northwestern Ontario. If you provide the cohort, we are able to bring an entire program to your rural or remote community. Your program saves money on travel costs and your participants experience the cost savings and convenience of top quality training without having to travel.
 
WHEAT recently collaborated with the Youth Poverty Reduction Strategy in Sioux Lookout to provide training for school and community-based staff in the therapeutic use of the expressive arts. Our training is trauma-informed, sensory-based and highly experiential. We can provide a program catering to the specific healing and wellness needs of your community, including Indigenized programs as well as programs reflecting Indigenous and non-Indigenous world views.
 
We look forward to customizing a therapeutic arts program to empower facilitators and clients alike with this powerful, fun and beautiful way of working therapeutically with challenging life issues.
